Competition Week Update

With heavy hearts, we regret to inform our families, friends, sponsors, and fans that Mariah has withdrawn from the 100th Anniversary Miss America competition. Though she was fully vaccinated, Mariah still contracted Covid-19 and will no longer compete.

This is a dream that was years in the making for Mariah, and by extension Mariah’s friends and family.

Please lift Mariah up in your thoughts and hearts. This young woman exemplifies all that Miss America is truly about – tenacity, grace, talent, leadership, hard work, and a heart for service. She won’t hold the title of Miss America, but she IS our Forever Miss Maine 2021, and we will work to make the absolute most of the remainder of her year.
